Friends

The East Haddam Free Public Library has a small group of dedicated volunteers whose purpose is to promote library awareness and various programs at the Library for the community. 

The Friends of the East Haddam Free Public Library work very diligently for all aspects of the library. The Friends support and enhance the Library's programs and services by donating their time, talent, and skills, and play a vital role in fulfilling the Library's mission. The Friends volunteer not only their time but organize various fund raising projects so that our little library can offer the best to our community. All of the Friends value the service of the library.

The Friends meet bimonthly and the membership is diverse with all ages, interests and commitments represented. The common interest of all the volunteers is supporting the East Haddam Free Public Library. The next meeting is scheduled for August 30, 2007 at 6:30PM. Everyone is welcome to join.

As a fundraiser, the Friends' are sponsoring a Tee Shirt Sale @ the Library. These adorable Tee Shirts promote reading at the library. Proceeds will be used to expand the library's collection of educational and recreational materials.

Tee Shirts are $8.00 for children sizes and $10.00 for adult sizes.

The Friend's Book Bag Sale is ongoing. Sturdy, Red Book Bags with the Friend's logo are available for $8.00.
