ReQuest

This form can be used if you wish to inquire whether we have a particular book in our inventory. We also encourage you to search our online catalog available at search.ehfpl.org. If we do not have the book in our inventory, we will attempt to request it through the Connecticut ReQuest Inter-Library Loan System.*

You must be a member of the East Haddam Free Public Library to request a book over the Internet. If you aren't registered with us, please stop by the library and register.

Please give us as much information as possible about the book.

Within 72 hours, we will provide you with a status of your request via e-mail. We will send you one of the following messages:

  1. The book, you requested, is available. We will hold it for you at the front desk. Please pick it up within three business days.
  2. The book, you requested, is out. We have reserved the book in your name. When the book is returned to us, we will call or email you and hold the book at the front desk in your name.
  3. We do not own the book you requested but have ordered it from another Connecticut library. As soon as we receive the book, we will call or email you.*

* Please note that ordering an item from another library may take as long as 2 to 3 weeks. Many libraries will not loan New books through the inter-library loan program. If you have any questions, please call or email us at staff@ehfpl.org
